FLOWER CARE

Fresh cut flowers are fleeting beauties meant to be enjoyed in the moment. They hold no promise to last forever and encourage us to live in the present.

With the proper care, you may be able to keep your flowers fresh and happy for longer.

  1. Unwrap your bouquet from any paper, ribbons, or rubberbands.

  2. Trim stems at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife.

  3. Fill a vase with fresh, cold water ensuring no leaves are below the waterline. Change your water daily.

  4. Add Flower Food (1 tsp. of Apple cider vinegar + 1 tsp. of sugar) *The sugar acts as food and the vinegar kills any bacteria / fungi the sugar may cause.

  5. Keep your bouqs cool and out of direct heat, sunlight, or near ripe fruit.

  6. Remove any dead flowers to prevent contamination.

The fine print: Your shop-purchased flowers are meant to last at minimum 72 hours, with the proper care they can last up to 10 days, sometimes even longer. Once the flowers leave our shop, they’re in your hands and need your care. If they’re looking sad and weepy, send us a photo within 72 hours and we’ll discuss replacement options (within reason), to ensure a happy floral experience!

Event florals are an entirely different discussion. Most florals used for short-lived client events are at their biggest, show-stopping phase, typically nearing the end of their life cycle. We do not guarantee event florals will last at the same span as our shop-purchased florals, as they have been conditioned for different purposes.
